Medicity and Neumont

Not too long ago it was announced that the company I work for called Medicity would officially be offering an Enterprise Project for Neumont students. I dont know about you, but I’m pretty excited and so is Medicity. Not too long ago I was talking to some head guys at work about how Medicity should goto the career fair and stuff but it didnt seem like they would jump on anything. Later, I received a few emails about how Medicity was more interested in doing more proactive things other than just sitting at a booth (which they did too by the way). I explained to them all the fancy stuff Neumont does with the Peak Awards, Coding Competitions and Enterprise Projects and got them excited about Neumont. They informed me they would contact someone at Neumont and guess what, we have a project now. Now, Medicity is a fairly young company and they are just getting up to speed with a lot of various habbits a large company should have but they have some serious drive to get things done. Just in 2007 the company employee count grew something like 27% not counting various people who left, so the percentage of new people is a bit larger. Anyway, I imagine they are expecting quite a bit out of the students that are coming in. Not because of what Neumont told them about us but from what they have seen from Ryan Nguyen and I in the past few months. A few people have told me that it is amazing how much we come into the workforce already knowing. Infact, I even spoke to a coworker of mine who has been interviewing many people for some open software positions and he always tells me how there is a HUGE difference between the new grads coming out of Neumont and those coming out of schools such as BYU. HAHA!
(Ok, I have sisters who goto BYU so I make fun of it as much as I can)
I also recevied a great compliment from this coworker while he was interviewing one Neumont student. He basically said, I dont know if its just Jason or if all Neumont students know that much but if youre all coming out of school at that level then we’re interested in hiring more students. I hope other companies are having the same sort of experiences with the new grads they hire. I did notice that at the last career fair it was practically a class reunion. Almost every other booth had a Neumont grad there working at the booth and I was one of them. Medicity, like Extend Benefits and many other companies want the best of the best so odds are I’ll be in close contact with those that interview any Neumont students. I’m excited to meet the new team next quarter! DO NOT FAIL US, OR ELSE.

HAHA Medicity is doomed! All your tubez are belong to me!
I’m really excited about this project. I hope everything works out and Medicity keeps coming back to Neumont for more ;)
